How it works?
Sound: Voice + Beep sound
- If using radar alone, the voice comes out from radar detector itself
- And if using radar together with GPS under Chinese language version, voice can come out from GPS when the connection is on
There are PND/Voice modes on the radar device:
1. PND mode: Warning by navigator
2. Voice mode: Warning by radar detector's speaker
e.g.: Speed cam, please slow down, beep…
e.g.: K band, slow down, please, beep...
P/S: Radar Detector fully compatible with OODO GPS.
- Might not be compatible with other brand/no brand GPS (No sound or continuous beep). In this case, you will need to use the Radar Detector by independently.
The Laser Threat (READ THIS CAREFULLY)
While police radar is by far the biggest threat, laser usage by police is growing rapidly. Laser works differently than police radar and laser detection is a weak point for radar detectors. Police laser is not used in all areas, so it is important that you find out if laser is used where you commonly drive. If laser is a threat in your area, you should arm yourself with a laser defence product, such as a laser jammer or Laser Veil, in addition to your radar detector.
(The "Laser Detector" can only detect Laser Band once the Laser Gun point to your car/direction)
VG-2 Alert (Invisible Technology, to prevent radar detector’s detector to detect it)
VG-2 is a technology that police use to detect radar detectors. This is primarily used in states where radar detectors are illegal. Radar detectors that have the VG-2 Stealth feature can make themselves invisible to this detection.
